HOW IT WORKS

Think of it as sunscreen for the plastic. Your lenses are polycarbonate, and at the factory they get a thin protective coating that takes the sun so the plastic underneath doesn't. After a few years that coating wears off - and the bare plastic starts to burn yellow.

Sanding removes whatever is left of it. The lens looks clear for a while, then goes dingy again, because now there is nothing on it at all. That is why it came back faster the second time.

This works the other way around. It lifts the oxidation and leaves a fresh UV layer behind in the same pass. Nothing gets sanded off.

WILL IT WORK ON MY CAR

Works on: plastic lenses with surface yellowing, haze or oxidation - nearly every car, truck and SUV built since the early 1990s. It does not care what you paid for the vehicle; premium lenses oxidize the same way.

Won't work on: glass lenses, cracked lenses, and lenses fogged from the inside. Inside fogging is a failed seal, not oxidation, and no surface product reaches it.

If the plastic has yellowed all the way through the thickness of the lens, a surface treatment won't get to it either. Look at your lens in daylight before you order.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

  1. One 50 ml bottle of headlight restoration liquid
  2. Sponge applicator
  3. Step-by-step instructions

One bottle treats both headlights on most vehicles. Heavily oxidized lenses and large truck or SUV housings use more. Two vehicles in the driveway means two bottles.

HOW TO USE IT

  1. Wash and dry the lens. Anything left on it gets sealed under the new layer.
  2. Wipe an even coat on with the sponge applicator.
  3. Leave it to work for about 10 minutes.
  4. Wipe clean. Repeat on the second headlight.

No masking tape, no drill, no sanding at any point. Nothing in this process can skip onto your paint.

You already fixed these once. The yellow came back.

Maybe a sanding kit two summers ago. Maybe a Saturday with a drill and three grades of paper. They looked new for a while, then went dingy again - and you figured you had done something wrong. You hadn't. The method was always going to end that way.

Your lenses had sunscreen on them. It wore off.

Polycarbonate burns in the sun, so the factory coats it. That coating is sacrificial - it lasts a few years, not the life of the truck. Once it's gone the plastic yellows. And every sanding kit on the shelf takes off whatever is left of it.

Ten minutes in the driveway, the night before

No sandpaper, no drill hopping across your clear coat, no masking tape. Clean the lens, wipe it on, wait ten minutes, wipe it off. The haze lifts and a fresh UV layer goes down in the same pass - the plastic ends up protected instead of stripped bare.

Do it before your inspection, before you list the car, or before the dealer walks around it. A washed truck with yellow lenses still reads as neglected, and everybody who looks at it can tell. One bottle, both headlights, no appointment and no shop bill.
